About Carla Griffin
About:
I am a professional Real Estate Broker that specializes in working with the active adult buyers over 55 in the purchase of their “empty nest” home. I began my real estate career in 1978 because I wanted to work directly with people in achieving their dreams and goals. I pride myself in giving my clients the attention and service they deserve in any real estate transaction. See Client Testimonials.
Unique qualities:
I bring a skill set of hard work and attention to detail to this business as I had in my former positions as the Chief Financial Officer and Controller for a semiconductor firm. My educational and work background in accounting, finance and management provide me with the expertise to handle the many facets of a sales transaction to a successful close.
Would like you to know:
As a member of the National, State and Local Boards of Realtors, the Multiple Listing Service and the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce. I hold the designations of Broker and SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist). I earned Home Builder’s production awards in 2002 and 2003. I sat on the Board of SJSU College of Business Alumni Association from 1996-2000, last serving as President-Elect. I was involved in major fundraising campaigns in the San Jose area, including the $25 million campaign for renovating the College of Business at SJSU. My work as Producer/Fundraising Chair for Mentoring Faire for Women Entrepreneurs brought both sponsors and awareness of the woman entrepreneur to the national level.
Who can benefit most?
When you are ready for the active adult lifestyle in the San Francisco Bay area, I am here to help you find the perfect property. How about that game of golf or tennis, or just being with nature and the wildlife….now is your time to play!
Call today for your Introductory Tour and experience Carla’s love of The Villages' 550+ acres “best kept secret” in Northern California. You may just fall in love and want to move and play in this garden paradise.
Helping others:
I am always involved in helping others, whether it be finding the perfect property or volunteering for a non-profit organization. I am currently on the Professional Advisory Council with the George Mark Children’s House, a freestanding pediatric respite and end-of-life care facility for children (www.georgemark.org) in San Leandro, California. I work on the fundraising events and that includes raising funds through golf tournaments, which began on my home course, The Villages Golf and Country Club in San Jose, California in May 2005 and has since been moved to Claremont Country Club in Oakland, Ca. I also raise funds and walk for the American Heart Association each September.
